Steel Legion

Steel Legion is a tank combat game where you drive an armored vehicle, aim your turret, and trade shots with enemy tanks across varied terrain. The pace is deliberate - tanks don't move fast, shots have travel time, and positioning determines whether you hit or get hit.

The controls split driving and aiming. You steer the hull with one set of inputs and rotate the turret independently with another, so you can drive in one direction while aiming in another. This lets you angle your armor toward threats while keeping your gun on target - a core tank-combat skill.

Terrain matters. Hills block line of sight, buildings provide cover, and open fields are death zones against dug-in opponents. Reading the map and using cover is how you survive longer than the tanks that charge into the open.

Upgrades and tank classes add variety. Light tanks are fast and scout; heavy tanks soak damage and anchor positions; mediums balance both. Picking a class that matches your playstyle and upgrading across matches extends your effectiveness. The tactical pace rewards thought over twitch.

Drive with WASD or arrow keys. The hull moves and turns independently of where you're aiming.

Aim the turret with the mouse. The turret rotates separately, letting you angle your hull for armor while keeping the gun on target.

Fire with left click. Shots have travel time, so lead moving targets and account for the shell arc at range.

Use terrain for cover. Hills block sightlines, buildings absorb shots, and open ground exposes you to focused fire.

Angle your armor. Presenting the front of your hull toward threats increases effective armor thickness; showing your side or rear gets you penned.

Use cover between shots. Peek out to fire, then pull back behind terrain. Standing in the open trades damage you can't afford.

Lead moving targets. Shells travel - aim where the enemy will be when the shot arrives, not where they are now.

Match your tank class to the situation. Lights scout and flank; heavies hold positions; mediums flex. Playing against your class role gets you killed.
